The Decade Investor System (Revealed)

Sponsored by

I have found a system with my money which allows me to build wealth, enjoy the present & win with my money.

I call this system “The Decade Investor System”. This system is what works for me. It is easy to repeat because it is easy to follow. It does not require you to get lucky with a 10x crypto or stock. It requires you to put in the work, month after month after month. I follow 3 easy steps & from those 3 steps I have been able to build a net worth of over $500,000 by age 26. This post is not advice for you to follow this system, however me just sharing what I do. Also this system leans heavy on the investing side of money. This does not include exact account types, budgeting, cash flow management, insurances, financial planning, etc. With that being said, here is “The Decade Investor System”…

Step #1: Make Money

I don't care who you are, you must make money for this system to work. I know that sounds silly, but it is required. Whether that is from a job, a side hustle, a business, whatever it may be, you must make money. I worked 9-5s, I created side hustles, I started businesses. I did whatever I could to grow my income.

When you make money (or make more money), your first move should not be to spend more money. What hurts a lot of people from building wealth is once they have money, they immediately want to spend it on stuff. Have to change that. For this system to work, you cannot spend all your money you make.

Step #2: Assets Then Spend

This is the fun part. I follow these very simple steps after I make money:

  1. Fully funded emergency fund

  2. Pay myself first buying solid assets

  3. Pay bills + enjoy my money

  4. Whatever is left over, invest more or spend it

I always pay myself first before I pay anyone else. You work hard for your money, pay your future self first.

I make sure my emergency fund is funded where I need it to be. Once that is done, I have my auto investing going where my money is automatically being invested for me. This is nice because every Friday my money is automatically invested.

Then I pay my bills.

Then I use what is left to enjoy life.

Finally, at the end of the month if there is money left over, I can decide to invest that extra money OR spend it. Since I already paid myself first, I can make that choice.

Step #3: Repeat

It is super easy in 2024 to spend what you make (or even more than you make) thanks to credit cards & Amazon. Something I learned a few years ago that has always stuck with me:

Right: Make money --> Invest --> Spend

Wrong: Make money --> Spend --> Invest

For this system to work, it must be repeated every time you get paid. Paycheck after paycheck.

I am not trying to reinvent the wheel with my system. It is simple. Make money --> Pay myself first --> Don't spend everything I make --> Go live life & enjoy. If I make more money, I have more money to invest. It is simple, but so effective.

A few others things I do with my day to day money:

  • Have a budget where I know my rough spending each month

  • Cash flow management where I control the flow of my money into savings/investing/spending buckets

  • Auto investing so every week my money is invested for me

So that is my system with my investing. 🙂

Real quick, my podcast called The Decade Investor Podcast releases new episodes every week. This week I dropped three new episodes:
