The $200,000 ETF Portfolio

When I first started investing at 17 years old I thought the way to wealth was with penny stocks… but I was way wrong. It took me a couple years to learn that, however once I did, I realized the power of consistent investing into quality assets. That is when I started my main ETF portfolio.

Today, at 26 years old, it just crossed over the $200,000 mark!

Now this is where I like to talk about the power of compounding. While I will not stop adding to this portfolio every week, I want to show a calculation.

Let’s say I stop contributing to this portfolio & just let it sit for the next 20 years. Assume I get an 8% average rate of return on this portfolio. The ending balance? Just under $1 million.

Now let’s make this more realistic for me. Let’s assume I add $500/mo to this portfolio (I am doing more than this).

After 20 years? Just under $1.3 million.

One more calculation… let’s say I want to keep working until I am 55 because I love what I do. That is 29 years from now. By pushing this out 9 years, my account value is estimated to be $2.7 million… or ~$1.4 million MORE than 20 years. WILD. This is the power of compounding.

I buy the same ETFs every week. Nothing crazy, no stock picking, no options. Just buy & hold. Think long term. Auto buying. Simple, yet effective.

By the way, premium subscribers get to see the holdings of this portfolio! It is a one time membership cost. If you want to upgrade, you can do so here:

What is the takeaway? The power of consistent investing is real & compounds over time. The best thing you can do is just start & buy on a consistent schedule!

U.S. Pending Home Sales Fall To Lowest Level Ever Recorded

What is the takeaway? High home prices coupled with high interest rates are keeping buyers on the sidelines right now.

Starbucks New CEO Commute To Work… By Plane

What is the takeaway? When you are the big man on campus, you get to call the shots. He + Starbucks has faced a lot of criticism from this. What do you think?

Is this fair for the CEO to commute via Private Jet?
