The Top 10 ETFs in 2024 (in terms of inflows)

This data is showing us how much money has been invested into these ten ETFs in 2024 so far. It is crazy to see VOO is sitting at the top & it is more than double the inflows of the second place ETF, which is also an S&P 500 ETF.

#1 VOO - This is the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF, which tracks the 500 largest companies in the USA.

#2 IVV - This is the iShares S&P 500 ETF, which also tracks the 500 largest companies in the USA.

#3 IBIT - This is the iShares Bitcoin ETF, which launched in January 2024. This tracks Bitcoin.

#4 VTI - This is the Vanguard Total US Market ETF, which is designed to track the US market as a whole.

#5 QQQ - This is the Nasdaq 100 ETF, which tracks the largest 100, non-financial stocks listed on the Nasdaq.

#6 AGG - This is the iShares Aggregate Bond ETF, which tracks index composed of the total U.S. investment-grade bond market.

#7 FBTC - This is the Fidelity Bitcoin ETF, which also launched in January 2024 & tracks Bitcoin.

#8 DYNF - This is the BlackRock Equity Rotation ETF, which aims to outperform large & mid cap US equities by providing diversified and tactical exposure to style factors via a factor rotation model.

#9 SPY - This is the State Street S&P 500 ETF, which also tracks the 500 largest companies in the USA.

#10 VUG - This is the Vanguard Growth ETF, which is a way to match the performance of many of the nation’s largest growth stocks.

What is the takeaway? Bitcoin ETFs were approved on January 10th, 2024 but two of them are already in the top seven in largest inflows. On top of that, most money is flowing into large cap ETFs like S&P 500. Will be interesting to see this graph at the end of 2024.

Percentage Gain Needed To Recover From A Loss

What is the takeaway? Losses happen, but to get back to where you were before the loss is not as simple as it may seem. When your investment is down 50%, you need more than a 50% gain to get back to even… you need a 100% return to get back to even.

401(k) Millionaires Hit An All Time High

What is the takeaway? Those who stay invested through the rough times (2022 for example) will be rewarded in the future (2024 for example). Those who kept on holding & even adding to their 401(k)’s are now sitting in a great spot. Nearly 500,000 seven-figure 401(k) accounts at Fidelity!
